Good Friday and Easter Wishes From Samantha's Lake Country Collectables

I spotted this pretty Easter display near Orillia, Ontario and couldn't help but share! I don't know why I didn't make this connection in Tuesday's blog article, but what says spring and Easter like the beautiful cheery colours of depression/uranium/oatmeal/vaseline glass?

The Easter and spring traditions are about a time of gathering and rejoicing, be it for the resurrection or for the time of rebirth. It is a time when colour, light, and life returns from the bleak, cold, heartless darkness of winter. Easter is a time of gathering and rejoicing in the name of Christ, whom died for our sins and was resurrected on this most holy of holiday weekends.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very safe and happy Good Friday and Easter weekend. Enjoy time with family, friends, and community- take pictures to tell your unique history- laugh, love; but remain thankful for this gift we call life!
